Hey. Hi. Hello there.

My name is Hillevi. I’m a writer and filmmaker with a penchant for the macabre and fantastical. I have recently written and directed a short film with funding from the Swedish Film Institute and Film i Skåne which is winding down a successful festival run.

I recently completed the Story Masterclass professional writing program on Gotland, a stone’s throw from Ingmar Bergman’s house. Previously, I spent four years studying Film and International Relations on the east coast of Scotland followed by a stint in smoggy London with the National Film and TV School with a focus on script development. Since then I’ve been working based out of my home in the Swedish countryside though I am happy to travel for new adventures. I am bilingual and work in both English and Swedish.

Outside of my own creative work I have extensive experience in coaching others- both with a focus on the craft of storytelling as well as audience development and outreach/impact. I am available for dramaturg and script editor work so don’t hesitate to reach out if you have a project that you want guidance on.

I also am the co-founder and co-editor of the literary magazine MAKABER which launched in winter 2024. Check that out here.

I in addition to this I provide trend analysis and strategic input to the regional talent development and resource center BoostHBG, read more about that on their website.
