LIV
A teenage girl spends the night before the most important day of her life (AKA the day she starts high school) preparing. Through increasingly desperate actions she crafts herself into the person that she thinks she wants to be.
LIV is a short film written and directed by Hillevi Gustafson. It was shot in southern Sweden spring 2023 and is currently enjoying a successful festival run. The international premiere was at the Short Film Festival in Hamburg in June 2024 as part of their youth section. It has been screened at, among others, The Nordic Film Days in Lübeck, Griffon Film Festival in Italy, Uppsala Short Film Festival, Oulu International Children’s and Youth Film Festival in Finland and CineKid in The Netherlands. It won the Honorable Mention Award in the Best Swedish Short Film category at Filmfest Sundsvall.
